Abstract
The goal of this paper is to present an alternativesolution based on renewable energies for the powertrain to supplyin Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), in order to increasetheir autonomy, reduce the noise footprint and eliminatepolluting emissions throw into the atmosphere. Hybridizinghydrogen-based fuel cells and batteries allow obtaining theadvantages of each one, increasing the autonomy, peak power andC-rating of the whole system.
