Resumo

Media literacy and human rights have central principles. The UN, UNESCO, European Union and OAS stressthat media literacy is a necessity and a citizen’s right, that human rights must also be protected online, thathuman rights education is important, and that media literacy and communication media and technologiesmust serve human rights. Based on these reflections, proposals are made for media literacy activities informal and non-formal education in favor of human rights.
