Abstract

The advent of the Internet has revolutionized communication and transformed our way of life. Social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram have gained significant influence in shaping opinions, preferences and procedures, even in education. This thesis aims to explore the potential of these platforms for com-educational empowerment in the university setting. We analyze the perspectives of teachers and students in Ecuador and examine the communication strategies of hispanic american content creators and their learning applications. Overall, this study sheds light on the impact of social media on education and highlights opportunities for leveraging its potential to enhance learning outcomes.
